CHILDREN EMPOWERMENT ACTIVITY

Our Children Empowerment Day last August 13 was a truly heartwarming celebration. Treating our Kaambag Pedia patients to a kids’ party filled with fun games and giveaways brought so much joy, not only to the children, but also to their families and to us as health workers. The smiles and laughter reminded us why we do what we do.

We also had the joy of celebrating the birthdays of our beloved Pedia Nurse, Ma’am Lay, and our HACT IM Physician, Dr. Den. Honoring them was a beautiful reminder that behind every healthy child is a team of people who care deeply and serve with wholehearted dedication.

This special day showed us that empowerment begins in simple acts of kindness, joy, and community. It was more than just a celebration for the children but it was also a celebration of everyone who continues to work together for their well-being.

HIV Awareness & Medical-Surgical Mission at Cebu Provincial Hospital - Bogo
August 9, 2025

We are proud to share the success of our HIV Awareness Campaign in collaboration with a Medical and Surgical Mission held last August 9, 2025 at Cebu Provincial Hospital - Bogo.

This event marked another significant step forward in our advocacy for HIV awareness and access to preventive healthcare services. A total of 41 individuals bravely stepped forward to undergo HIV testing, with all receiving non-reactive results — a reassuring outcome and a testament to the importance of early detection and prevention.

We are also thrilled to share that four individuals were initiated on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) — a vital step in reducing the risk of HIV transmission and empowering people to take control of their health.

The venue at Cebu Provincial Hospital - Bogo was exceptionally well-organized, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hospitality of the staff was commendable, and the spacious facility provided a comfortable and efficient space for both clients and healthcare workers throughout the event.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the hospital administration, medical and surgical teams, volunteers, and all who participated in making this mission a meaningful one. Events like this bring us closer to a future where HIV awareness and prevention are part of every community’s health priorities.

Let’s continue to break the stigma, raise awareness, and promote access to life-saving services.

Universal HIV Care

Differentiated HIV health service delivery means we provide multi-month dispensing for stable PLHIVs with alternative ARV refill delivery [(KAAMBAG riders, courier delivery and 24/7 locker pick up) to allow our healthcare professionals to focus on in-clinic patient visits for newly diagnosed patients, patients with advanced HIV disease and those with need for medical attention.

"Stable PLHIVs" refers to people living with HIV (PLHIV) who have achieved viral suppression and are consistently on antiretroviral therapy (ART) with a stable CD4 count and undetectable viral load.  Undetectable viral load means the risk of transmitting HIV to another person is very very low.

So book your appointments early to ensure ARV adherence!
